What to expect at Street Storage

Where we store around 713 bags and support around 450 people per year.

Our layout

Although not exactly how we’re laid out, this gives you a rough idea of what our space looks like for people who are visiting us for the first time (or those who need a reminder!).

The Storage Unit

Our second storage unit room which is smaller than the main.

Found safely behind two sets of locked doors, we have rooms of shelving where people’s bags are stored with care. Only staff and volunteers can access this area and it is alarmed and insured at all times.

We typically store a few bags per person. Our storage unit at one time has roughly 713 bags in it.

Each bag has a

  • designated shelf

  • a tag with an identifying number on

So much more than shelving”

The Computer Room

A computer desk with a computer on and a pot plant.

Known to be the quieter of our two chill spaces, the computer room has two computers, comfy chairs and sofas for relaxing and sorting through your belongings.

Two comfy chairs and a rectangle coffee table.

The Welcome Room

Our private space where someone visits when they first store with us to complete their check-in. We also do one-to-one support work in here for people who store with us.

The Coffee Room

Thanks to a generous grant we’re able to provide quality coffee for everyone with our state of the art coffee machine. There’s a wall of information for other services and activities as well as comfy chairs to sort through your belongings.

Wide view of our office. There are 6 desks.

The Office

The team have their desks in here, but that doesn’t mean we’re confined to this space. We’re always open for a chat and a catch-up and anyone using the service can grab us when needed.
