Obie’s Words

“I found out about street storage after being left with nowhere to go and my paid storage counting down. I'd just lost a zero-hours job and things were looking terrible. I was threatened with throwing away nearly all my stuff and keeping very little as there'd be no way to make the payments for paid storage.
After another hopeful search for free storage, I was lucky enough to find street storage. I contacted them, met them, through Caroline, at the old site in Haggerston and set up an agreement over my possessions, the duration of my storage etc. Off the back of free storage, and even other support offered by the charity (e.g. paid for a camping rucksack, grants for housing etc) I've been able to get back into full time work, gotten a room in South London and gotten my life back on track.
There is no other charity or resource that offers what street storage do, and being able to use this resource has been exceptionally transformative. Thanks to Rachel, Caroline, Daniella, Lillian, Geordie and Simon, my life is back on track.”
